Guest Raider Rules

While we strive to make all of our raiding experiences, at least the cutting edge ones, "Guild Only", there will come times when we need to bring in some outside help. These guest raiders, while not enrolled in our DKP system, should still have some rights and responsibilities, and they are outlined below. Officers, please direct any guest raiders to this page before the raid begins:
  1. Looting Rights: When an item drops that a guest raider desires, and it is not on the restricted list (See section 2 below), they are allowed a fair chance at winning the item themselves. When the lootmaster calls for bids on an item, a guest raider may whisper "Out of Guild Bid", or something along those lines, to voice their interest in the item. Once all bids are in, the master looter will then do a random roll from 1 to X, with X being the number of people, guild or not, who voiced interest in the item. If a 1 is rolled, the guest raider wins the item. If there were multiple interested guests, a roll of 2 or more may also indicate a guest winner, and decision of which guest gets the item is up to the lootmaster (Usually via a roll-off). If the roll does not indicate that a guest wins the item, that item is distributed according to the Prophecy DKP system as normal. Examples:
    • A nice DPS dagger drops from High King Maulgar. 2 Guild Rogues and a Guild Fury Warrior bid on the item, and additionally 2 guest raiders voice interest in the piece. The Lootmaster does a /roll 5, and gets a 4. The item is distributed to one of the 3 guild members according to the Prophecy DKP system.
    • The same situation, but this time the /roll resulted in a 2. Since there are 2 guests, this roll indicates that one of the guest raiders wins the item. The master looter calls out for those two people to roll for the item, and the high roller wins.
  2. Loot Restrictions: While we want to allow our guests a fair chance at loot they helped us obtain, there are certain items that are off-limits, unless otherwise stated at the start of the raid, or unwanted by all guild members present:
    • Boss "heads", such as the Head of Magtheridon, or Head of Ossirian the Unscarred.
    • Tier 4/5/6 Tokens
    • Rare Patterns/Recipes/Mounts/Etc, except for patterns that make BoP items
    • Legendary Items
    • Guild leadership may, at any time, specify other items that are limited to guild members only due to their extreme desirability. Currently, the following items are on that list:
      • None
    • Guests are limited to one drop per run.
  3. Rules for Non-Members: The rules of common courtesy apply to guest raiders. Always listen to the instructions of the raid leadership (But feel welcome to offer suggestions). Dont screw around. If the raid wipes, run back to the instance and rebuff in a speedy manner (unless wipe prevention was in place, in which case be ready to accept the rez). If the raid leader calls for a break, use the time both to attend to personal needs and to attend to character needs (Such as repairing equipment or restocking consumables), and be back and ready to raid by the appointed time. If you are found to be an unsavory person to raid with, the leadership has the right to remove you from the raid if they deem it necessary.
  4. Replacing Guest Raiders: If you are asked to join Prophecy on a raid, your spot WILL NOT be forefeited if a guild member later wants the spot. The only reason the guild will replace you is if raid balance requires it, though in those cases you will be the first choice.
