Raid Attendance Rules

A: Slot Assignment:

In the event that we have more people wanting to go to a raid than we have available spaces, the following criteria will be applied to decide who goes and who needs to sit it out. These are in order of importance.

0: Attunement status (Duh).
1: Gearing. Do you have good enough gear to fulfill your role (especially a tanking or mainhealing role).
2: Raid Balance (Do we need more Healers? Tanks? CC?)
3: Guild Status (Myrmidons go before Initates, who go before Alts, who go before Non-Guildies. No differentiation between persons ranked Myrmidon and above whatsoever)
4: Signups. If you signed up for the raid on an official thread, you get the slot over those who did not commit. Where raid balance allows.
5: Raiding History. All other things being equal, someone who had to sit out on the last raid gets first dibs. We're not out to conquer endgame content as quickly as possible with a small, elite group. We want to get everybody in there as equally as possible.

B: Attendance Policy:

Minimum Raid Attendance:

Citizen Rank : 0. We're a raiding focused guild, but ultimately, if you don't want to raid (Here because of friends, like doing 5 mans with us, whatever), you don't have to.

Initiate Raider : You must attend a minimum of 4 raid nights within the first two weeks from the date you joined the guild, before the guild votes on giving you a promotion to a full raider rank.

Myrmidon and above : While there is no "set in stone" number for raider ranked members, If a raider goes over 1 month without raiding, he/she will lose his/her raid spot and possibly be demoted to none-raider and or possibly incur DKP penalties.[ul]

YOU MUST RAID WITH THE GUILD. If you feel you must raid with another guild for some reason, you ABSOLUTELY must clear it with a guild officer first, or you may find the consequences are dire. The purpose of a raiding guild is to raid together.
-Added Jan. 23rd
If a Raider decided to raid with another guild on a Prophecy raid progression night (Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, their Raider status may be removed. Please, like said above, the point of being a Raider in a raiding guild is to... raid. Don't bow out on us for another guild. If you don't want to raid that night, that's fine, but don't go with someone else, either.
Also, weather you signed up or not, once you're in a Prophecy Progression Raid(Thursday, Friday, Saturday evening) you may not leave that raid to go to another raid, even if that raid has other prophecy members in it. As said above they shouldn't be there either.

[b]C: What Does the Raid Start Time Mean:

When a raid is scheduled for a particular time, that is the time that the first pulls are expected to start. As such, we will begin raid invites precisely 30 minutes prior to that time. For the first 15 minutes, only those who signed up for the raid and are ready to go will be given invites. At 15 minutes prior to raid start, we will begin inviting any guild members who wish to come to fill any spots still open (due to low sign up numbers OR due to absentees). Our intention is not to punish guild members, but instead to push for raids that start on time. If a member who signed up for the raid is not online, fully repaired, stocked up on reagents, and otherwise prepared for the raid by the raid start time, they will forfeit their spot in the raid, and will incur DKP penalties as prescribed in the DKP rules.

Note that, if informed beforehand of a need to arrive late, somebody who signed up for a raid may reserve his spot until the scheduled raid start time, but no later. If that person is unable to make it by that time, they will not be charged a late penalty in the DKP system.

Profession Loot
There are times in a raid where loot can be gained specific to your profession. Any loot that is gathered within the raid, as a result of your profession (engineering, herbalism, mining... etc) should be given to the raid leader to deposit in the gbank. This is only true for items worth DKP on the Consumables Program page. For example, herbs, eternals & gems would be subject to the rule, but ore, leather & bolts would not.
